Terms of Service

Effective: April 16, 2026

Welcome to PairCare ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and PairCare. By creating an account or using PairCare via getpaircare.com or our iOS / Android apps (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use PairCare.

1. Who Can Use PairCare

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By using PairCare, you confirm you are 18 or older. One account per person. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account.

2. What PairCare Is

PairCare is a relationship wellness app that helps couples connect through quests, daily questions, private chat, and a skill-based leaderboard. PairCare is not therapy, counseling, or medical advice. If you're in crisis or experiencing abuse, please contact a licensed professional or emergency services. In the US, you can reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.

3. Your Content

You own what you create — messages, posts, photos, and responses. By posting content to the community feed, you grant PairCare a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display that content within the Service. Private content (chat messages, mood logs, goals, shared photos) is only visible to you and your paired partner.

4. Acceptable Use & Zero-Tolerance Policy

PairCare has a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users. Content or accounts that violate our rules will be removed or suspended within 24 hours of a credible report.

Don't use PairCare to:

We use automated profanity filtering on community posts, comments, and custom quests, along with user-initiated reporting and blocking. We review every credible report and act within 24 hours. To report content, tap the ⋯ menu on any post or comment and choose "Report." To block a user, tap their name and choose "Block." To contact us about a safety concern, email hello@getpaircare.com with the subject line "Safety."

5. PairPoints, Ranks & Prizes

PairPoints ("PP") are an in-app engagement score. They have no monetary value outside of official prize distributions. Leaderboard prizes, when offered, are at our sole discretion and may be modified, postponed, or discontinued at any time. Prize eligibility requires an active, non-suspended account.

Contests are skill-based. Winners are determined by PairPoints earned through app activity — not by chance, lottery, entry fee, or purchase. No purchase is necessary to participate or win. PairCare contests are sponsored solely by PairCare and/or its partners. Apple Inc. and Google LLC are not sponsors of, and are not involved in any way with, any PairCare contest or the administration of prizes. Void where prohibited by law.

We reserve the right to disqualify users who manipulate the scoring system (automated activity, fake accounts, coordinated inflation, etc.) and to verify account activity for top-ranking couples before distributing prizes, as described in our Privacy Policy §5.

6. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → About → Delete my account. Deletion is immediate and permanent and removes:

Community posts and comments you made are anonymized rather than deleted — they are reassigned to a "[Deleted User]" placeholder and stripped of any identifying metadata. This preserves conversations for other users while removing your identity from the public feed.

If you've lost access to your account and can't sign in, email hello@getpaircare.com or visit getpaircare.com/delete-account to request deletion.

7. Service Availability

PairCare is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We're a small team building something we believe in — we'll do our best, but we can't promise perfection.

8. Intellectual Property

PairCare, the PairCare name, logo, PairPoints, rank names, badge designs, quest library, and all other app content we produce are owned by PairCare. You may not copy, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the Service without our written permission. Third-party names and marks (Apple, Google, Supabase, etc.) belong to their respective owners.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PairCare and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, loss of relationships, or emotional distress. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months, which is currently $0 unless you have purchased a subscription or in-app item.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold PairCare harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service in violation of any law or third-party right.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, unless applicable consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you in-app. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

13. Apple App Store & Google Play Terms

If you download PairCare through Apple's App Store or Google's Play Store, you also agree to those platforms' Terms of Service, which govern your use of the Service in the relevant mobile app. Those platform terms, where they conflict with these Terms, do not supersede our terms except to the extent required by the platform.
